About Us
How We Are Funded
Funds for purchasing food are generously provided by community members, global supporters, and corporate sponsors. Volunteers at BVB organize a variety of fundraising activities throughout the year. Our previous fundraisers have included cook-offs, wine tastings, bilingual cookbook sales, restaurant programs, raffles, multi-charity events, and food drives held in front of grocery stores.

You Can Be a Part of Us
For the past 20 years, our volunteer-operated organization has delivered nonperishable food items to many in need. To accomplish this task volunteers have been involved in ordering products, packing food bags, and delivering to families and individuals. Volunteers have also been contributing to the newsletters, organizing fundraisers, and representing this organization at varied venues such as weekly markets. We are grateful for any assistance as our volunteers play a crucial role in enabling us to serve the community in need.

20 years of service is a monumental achievement, made possible by dedicated volunteers, determined to provide support to food-insecure families in the Boquete area. We are currently feeding 140 families (600 individuals) who don’t make enough money to feed their families and provide things like vital medicines, school supplies, etc. Buenos Vecinos de Boquete exists to bridge that gap and allow families the dignity of being able to put food on the table for their children. No child should have to go to bed hungry, not if people who care come together as a community, for the community.
If you’re unable to attend the event, please consider making a donation in support. Click on our donation site on PayPal (Click here), make a direct deposit from your bank with Zelle to buenosvecinosdeboquete1@gmail.com, or at our Table at the BCP Thursday Community Market.
